New Update

I know its been a long time since we have posted an update on our adoption. Some new news... our home study has been approved and we are waiting for our approval from the department of Immigration. To get approved we recently had to go get our finger prints taken to make sure we did not have a criminal background. Basically we are just waiting right now on the U.S. government to give us approval, then we can finish up our paperwork.

The Home Study

Hey every one, just a quick update. We had our home study yesterday and it lasted for 3+ hours!!!!! The home study went very well and we should get the approval for our home study in 2-3 weeks!!!!!

Fundraiser

Hey every one,
Just wanted to let every one know that we have a fundraiser for our adoption scheduled for May 26th from 5-9 p.m. at Joe Willies in Rockwall. All the money we raise will go towards our adoption, so please attend and pass the word.

Home Study

We finaly got our home study scheduled for this Sunday afternoon!!! This is a major part of the adoption process. A social worker will come to our house and interview us for 3-4 hours!!! We are very exciting to get to this step in our adoption.

INS Form

A quick update: we just sent in our INS form and we are getting ready for our home study. Please continue to pray for the adoption process and that God will provide all that is needed.

The start of the adoption process

Last night we met with the adoption agency and filled out the application.... so we are officially started!!!!! It only took us 6 months to get "officially started." The next two steps in the adoption process is to fill out the INS form and get our home study completed. To complete those two steps we will need to raise about $2,000. The total amount that we will need to raise is about $30,000. Other than money we need prayer! Its so awesome to see God work though this adoption and how He is bringing every thing together. We know that God is in controll of our adoption.

Update

Its been a while since we updated the blog. I just find it amazing how God opens and closes doors. God has closed the door on adopting from Ukraine but He has opened the door to adopting from Russia. So that's the direction we are going, adopting from Russia. God also has opened a door at a local adoption agency that we were introduced by a co-worker of my wife. Seeing God work in the adoption process is so amazing.
On another note we are going to start selling candles again to help off set the cost of the adoption.
